Understanding and Supporting Big Emotions in Daycares and Schools

Workshop length: 7 hours including lunch break

Topics:

  • How the brain works when triggered and how to support emotions
  • Neurodivergence in children
  • Practical Strategies to implement in your workplace
  • Staff mental health and self care

 All participants will receive resources to utilize in their workplace. 

Who Should Attend:

  • Day care staff
  • Elementary School Teachers & Support Staff

Understanding and Supporting Big Emotions: Parent Edition

Workshop length: 3 hours

Topics:

  • How the brain works when triggered and understanding big emotions
  • Neurodivergence in children
  • Strategies you can use at home to support your children

All participants will receive resources to utilize at home.

Who Should Attend:

  • Any parents wanting to better understand their children

Postpartum Mental Health

Workshop length: 3 hours

Topics:

  • What is baby blues and postpartum depression, anxiety, OCD and psychosis?
  • Risk factors, preventive strategies, signs & symptoms and how to cope
  • “My postpartum coping plan”

All participants will receive postpartum coping cards and plan to develop.


Mental Health in the Workplace:

Workshop length: 2 hours

Topics:

  • Mental health
  • Self-awareness
  • Conflict resolution with colleagues and customers
  • Carrying vs Caring – setting boundaries
  • Mental health crisis
  • Self care and resiliency
